I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist, Certified Deep Coaching Professional and a writer. I currently also a Mindful Self-Compassion teacher in training. I have worked as a psychotherapist for over 20 years in a variety of settings including a mental health charity, gp surgeries, a women’s centre, a hospice and in private practice.
I had the idea for the Big Soul Work Project back in 2012. Having attended many workshops and retreats over the years, I know for myself the value of time and space to come back to myself, to work on issues that hold me back or cause me distress, to have the opportunity to relax and feel the love and community of other souls on their own journey.
I longed for more time and space for these wonderful experiences where I felt into the depth of myself and my heart opened.
I heard this from others too…”This is more real than so called real life”.. “Why can’t the rest of life be like this?” .. “I wish I could do this more often”.
Over the intervening years, the vision took shape as the Big Soul Work Project and here we are.
My Spiritual Path
I went into therapy myself in my early 20s. Ever since, I have been working on getting out from under the weight of my painful patterns and allow myself to shine and be free. Many writers, teachers, therapists, clients, friends and many others have contributed to my personal and spiritual growth. I feel deeply blessed for all of it.
I have been a student of the Diamond Approach with the Ridhwan School since 2009. This is a spiritual school that blends profound spiritual teaching with modern psychological approaches to human development and human flourishing. I am not a trained teacher of the Diamond Approach. However, it is a significant influence on my work.
A Bit of Personal Stuff about Me
I am in my early 50s and live on the Norfolk Broads with my cat Fifi. I love to dance, potter, read, write and spend time with cool people. I am serial retreater and workshop attender and an expert in chilling out.
